The Uniform Crime Reporting program was created for the purpose of having reliable statistics and data for crime across the nation. Created in 1929, the UCR publishes new data every year based on information collected from over 18,000 law enforcement agencies across the United States. The FBI UCR provides bulk datasets for public download in CSV file format.
