A BSCC report selecting and analyzing performance metrics to assess capability of local criminal justice systems. Report analyzed criteria for local corrections metrics, and input from the Administration, CSAC, CSSA, CPOC, Community Corrections Partnerships, and research colleagues from universities and institutes to narrow down the best measures in this report. Report suggests additional information should be provided by law enforcement, correctional, and social service stakeholders is necessary to assess factors associated with increased violent crimes and incarceration.

The California Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC) is an independent statutory agency that provides leadership to the adult and juvenile criminal justice systems, expertise on Public Safety Realignment issues, a data and information clearinghouse, and technical assistance on a wide range of community corrections issues.
