The California Health and Human Services Agency (CHHS) launched the Open Data Portal Initiative to increase public access to the State’s non-confidential health and human services data. CHHS’ hopes to spark innovation, promote research and economic opportunities, engage public participation in government, increase transparency, and inform decision-making. CHHS provides policy leadership and direction to the departments and programs it oversees while reducing duplication and improving coordination among the departments on the Governor’s priorities.
